the stars
The Dallas Stars were founded in 1967 and were formally known as the Minnesota North Stars, who moved to Texas after many troubles and much contemplating. The Stars currently play at the American Airlines Center and used to play at Reunion Arena since their move to Texas in 1993, but transferred to the current arena in 2001 when Tom Hicks bought the Stars from Norm Green. Since coming to the Lone Star State, the Stars have made four Stanely Cup appearances, one of which they had claimed the cup. Those years are 1981 (as the North Stars), 1991 (as the North Stars), 1999 (won the Cup), and 2000. Since then, the Stars have tried their hardest and have yet to make it to the finals.

The team's colors are green, gold, and black. The current coach is Dave Tippet, and the team's captain is Brenden Morrow. They have won two Presidents' Trophy in the 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 seasons. Their main rivals are the Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, and the Detroit Red Wings.
